Designed by Sir William Stanier in 1937 during the year of the Coronation of King George VI these magnificent locomotives are regarded as his masterpiece. Originally produced in a streamlined form with the first 5 locomotives painted in blue with silver lining to work the ‘Coronation Scot’ express from London to Glasgow. The next batch were painted in the LMS crimson lake with gold lining. A further batch were produced without streamlining and all the other locomotives had their streamlined case removed.

The following main liveries will be covered with a good selection of names:

LMS streamlined in blue with silver lining.
LMS streamlined in crimson lake with gold lining.
LMS non-streamlined in crimson lake with gold letters.
LMS 1946 lined black and BR lined black (subject to orders).
BR experimental dark blue.
BR standard blue.
BR green with early emblem and late crests.
BR crimson lake lined LMS style.

Availability:

The ‘O’ Gauge (7mm Scale) project has already commenced and our first sample locomotive is due to be delivered early in 2010. Orders are also being taken for these locomotives in ‘OO’ Gauge (4mm Scale) and Gauge 1 (9.5mm Scale). We expect to produce samples in these scales in due course and the timing of production will depend upon the level of orders. Please enquire for further details.

All prices include VAT and we plan to absorb the increase in the VAT rate from 15% to 17.5% in the 1st January 2010 although in view of this we ask that customers cover the postage and insurance costs which are charged at cost only.
